About Me

Madison Ferris is a counselor dedicated to helping adolescents, young adults, and adults navigate life's challenges with resilience, confidence, and authenticity. Growing up in Sun Valley, Idaho, Madison developed a deep appreciation for the unique pressures people face while balancing personal expectations, relationships, career and academic demands, major life transitions, and the pursuit of meaningful goals. As a lifelong athlete and former competitive skier, she also understands firsthand the mental and emotional challenges that can accompany high-performance environments, including perfectionism, setbacks, injuries, identity shifts, and navigating periods of change and uncertainty. These experiences have shaped her compassionate, grounded approach to supporting clients from all walks of life.

Madison is passionate about supporting individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, performance anxiety, perfectionism, burnout, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Whether clients are striving to perform at their highest level, adjusting to a significant life change, processing loss, or seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, she believes every person deserves a space where they feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted.

Madison earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where she built a strong foundation in psychological science and discovered her passion for helping others through counseling. She went on to earn her Master of Counseling from the University of San Diego, where she received advanced clinical training in evidence-based therapeutic approaches and developed the skills to provide compassionate, collaborative, and client centered care. Madison is committed to creating a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to navigate life's challenges and create meaningful, lasting change.

Whether supporting individuals through life's challenges or working with athletes striving to optimize performance, Madison is committed to helping clients cultivate resilience, build confidence, and create meaningful, lasting change.

Counseling and Coaching Approach

Madison’s approach is rooted in person-centered therapy, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and the belief that every individual has an inherent capacity for growth and healing. Madison works collaboratively with clients to create a trusting, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where they can build self-awareness, strengthen resilience, and develop practical tools for an overall positive well-being.

In addition to her person-centered foundation, Madison integrates Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify their strengths, recognize and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and build practical skills for managing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, performance challenges, and life transitions. She tailors treatment to each individual's unique strengths, values, and goals, recognizing that no single therapeutic approach is right for everyone.
